Tibet is a high altitude plateau country set on bottom of high mountain ranges. All the travelers should know when to do Tibet trip. We share our experience on the months -

December – January – February – March:

Very cold temperatures in the Tibet. Night temperature is extremely cold that drinking water often gets frozen. During the day very strong sunshine yet cold & dry and cold winds but temperature still stay +1°C in a day.

April:

April is between winter and summer in Tibet - the winter ends with summer just starting. Good time for a trip but still cold, dry, lakes still frozen and temperature goes under -1°C

November:

The summer is ending and winter starts. Often snowfall after last week of October and most of the lakes get into frozen form.

May – June – July – August – September – October:

The months are the best time to do any trip in any part of Tibet. The weather is warm, sunny, grassy and higher oxygen content. Some time it rains in the night. These months are the busiest months and there will be queues for visiting monuments and even at the checkpoint.
