Day 01: Arrive or meeting at Kathmandu (1,350 m/4,429 Ft)

Upon arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan international airport warm welcoming by Musical Adventure Trekking officially airport representative with your name on signboard. Then transfer to the hotel on private vehicle after room check in take own time and meeting with your trek leader/guide around 17:00 hours at your hotel lobby or our office.

Day 02: Trek permits proceed day

We only ensue your trekking permits once original passport handover to us with passport size photos. We need few hours to obtain the trekking permit. While obtaining the Manaslu Tsum Valley trekking permits, can utilize time with explore the heritage and cultural sites of the Kathmandu valley which also feature of medieval Kathmandu. Day tour begins after breakfast from hotel around 09:00 hours then end-up about 16:00 hours in mean time will visit Kathmandu durbar square, Pashupatinaht temple, Bodhanath stupa and Swoyambhunath temple as well local market.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu drive to Lapubesi (900m, 9 hours)

A day drive begins after breakfast at your hotel towards Lapubesi which would be roughly 8-9 hours. From Kathmandu around 73 km drive along the Prithvi Highway and then branch route leading to Dhading besi. So from Dhadingbesi drive continues on bumpy dirt road with expose the countryside, greeneries and cultural of Nepal. Drive often cross the numerous of the popular river of Nepal like Trishuli River, Ankhu Khola and Budigandaki River.

Day 04: Trek from Lapubesi to Dobhan (1440m, 7 hours)

The trail basically rises up along the Budigandaki River throughout beautiful forest in subtropical temperature where sights the beautiful waterfall drain down from high hills. We follow narrow trail on gully where some local tea shop are available for lunch. Also chance to cross the suspension bridge several times on the Budigandaki River. At lunch break relax on at natural hot spring at shore of the Glacier River.

Day 05: Trek from Dobhan Ekelbhati (1560m, 6 hours)

We follow gradual trail reverse of the Budigandaki river often walk together with transporter mules. The trail is pretty easy on the pristine gorge and crossing the suspension bridge several times. We trek on rugged-crumble trail with climbing up from Thulo dunga (Large stone) to Yaruphant. After lunch walk on beautiful cantilever steel bridge on the rock to Tharo Bharyang then short climb up to Jagat village, entrance of the Nupri and Tsum valley. From Jagat an hours trek on rocky path to Salleri village, Gatte Khola, Sirdibas, Philim then reach at Ekle Bhatti.

Day 06: Trek from Eklebhatti to Chhumling (2360m, 6 hours)

Ekle batti is few miles far from Philim village, the administration of the Tsumnubri municipality. We traverse wide and open area with additional view of the thundering water fall. The trekking trail drop down to the trail junction of the Larkya la pass then we towards Tsum valley with walking reverse of Shiar Khola. The trail fairly ascend up on grassy hill, dense rhododendron and pine forest to Lokpa village. Lone lodge available at Lokpa and stop for delightful lunch after that trail drop down on bank of the Shiar Khola. Some section of trekking route is destroyed by 2015 April and now fixed with cantilever bridge for alternative route. We walk over the bridge and steeply uphill track to stone-rest places. Before cross the trembling suspension bridge can see straight path leading to Ripchet village but ourself trekking west side of river to Chumling village. Few basic accommodation are available in midst of the traditional village as well. We recommend to spend night at the village where possible to do local cultural excursion after trek also can see plenty of chhorten, mani-wall and monasteries.

Day 07: Trek from Chhumling to Chhokangparo (3030m, 6 hours)

Trek towards Chhokangparo where the vivid valley begins. We follow gentle trail throughout the villages and little jungle to Gho village with crossing Suspension Bridge over the glacier river in the lush and green landscapes. Afternoon steeply climbing on the hill and enjoying to have additional view of Ganesh Himal, Bouddha himal and chhortens.

Day 08: Trek from Chhokangparo to Nile (3360m, 6 hours)

Early morning have glorious sunrise view on neighboring mountains then trek towards Nile village. So the trail slightly gentle up then cross beautiful Tsumba villages namely Lama bagar, Nargue, Burji, Phurbe, Pangdun and before reaching largest and attractive Chhule village, walk on Chhule mandir which also known as welcome gate. The large primeval valley is fill-up with Buddhism relic like monasteries, stupa, cave, chhorten etc. Before arriving at lodge visiting Rachen Gompa and Milarepa's cave. Nile situated west bank of the Shair Khola at end of the Tsum valley.

Day 09: Side trek to Mugompa & Dhephyudonma Gompa (6-7 hours)

We do day trek beyond the village to Mu Gompa and Dhephyudoma without luggage with plenty of drinking water. Follow gentle up trail along reverse of the River which drain from border. Often spot the rare Himalayan animals and the mountain birds in the walled valley. Mu Gompa situated at height of 3800 m above the sea level and around 80 monks practicing Buddhist. After Mu gompa we continues trek further up on the shrubs to Dhephyudoma, a hidden nunnery monasteries on lap of the Himalayas. Now trek back to Nile then after resting while trek back to Lark village, which is close village from Rachen Gompa. Evening attend daily nunnery ceremony at the monastery.

Day 10: Trek from Nile to Gho village (2960m, 6 hours)

Today most of our trail is descending across the typical village and trek enf up at Gho village.

Day 11: Trek from Gho village to Gompa Longdang (3210m, 6 hours)

A small Gho village have branch trail which leading to another trademark monastery at Tsum valley. Follow tiny trail across the village to Shiar Khola and cross the monsoon washed wooden bridge. Little up path bring us Dhumje village where traditional Tibetan herbs medicine are available for the local and travels. From here we towards direction of the Ganesh Himal with climbing up afar the village. We have puzzling-zigzag trail with steeply up into the dense rhododendron and pine forest. This section trail have unique landscapes and number of the bird’s always perching in beautiful sound in natural stream rhythm. Upon arrival at gomba Lungdang check in room on monastery. Number of the room are available at Gomba which take-care by nunnery. Around 4 dozen nunnery practice Buddhism at Gumba Lungdang.

Day 12: Side trek to Ganesh Himal base camp

Day side trek to and fro Ganesh himal base camp approximately takes 8 hours from Gumba Lungdang. The trail is quite puzzling with poor mark into the pine forest and often unclear as well. Our experienced Manslu Tsum Valley trekking guide is familiars with trek route up to Ganesh himal bae camp. We follow steeply up route with crossing chilly stream river which drain down from Toro Gompa glacier. Further along silence trail seasonal yak hut can see and also sights yak grazing on meadow. Upon arrival at Ganesh himla base camp get picturesque view of the surrounding mountains including Ganesh himal. After spending some time trek retrace to Gompa Lungdang for overnight.

Day 13: Trek from Gumpa Lungden to Lokpa (2240m, 6 hours)

Trek retrace to Dumje village throughout the forest and follow east bank of the Shiar khola also passing mini hydro station to Rimche village. Rimche village offers best view of Chumchet and formation of boulder rock. Trek resume after lunch then drop down on stone-stair trail to main route, we trek on cantilever bridge on the rock to Lokpa village.

Day 14: Trek from Lokpa to Deng (1840m,5-6 hours)

Jagat has first restricted permit check post in our trek after breakfast and check the permits trek again follow along the Budi Gandaki River with passing gurung village Sirdibas, Ghatekulo and beautiful cluster villages Philim, it is administration of Nubry and Tsum valley. After an hours trek from Philim, we follow gentle descend trail to Larkya la Pass, the upper path leads to Tsum valley. We cross the suspension bridge and trek in silence jungle with sound of Roaring River to Deng.

Day 15: Trek from Deng to Namrung (2618m, 7 hours)

The gentle walk take us at river then gradually climbing up pass Ranagao village then finally arrive at Bhi Phede. After lunch here trek resume classical Manaslu trail with admire beautiful landscapes and beautiful waterfall. We will cross suspension bridge of Budi Gandaki then reach small village called Gyap with Tibetan culture influence rest for while on lunch break. From here our trek goes into the dense forest of pine, fir and rhododendron to Namrung.

Day 16: Trek from Namrung to Syalla (3517m, 6 hours)

The Nubry ravine begins from here, the single day approaches verities of bio-diversity through alpine forest with monasteries, stupa, gompa and praying flags blowing into the thin air in the typical mountain villages Banjam, Lhi, Sho, Lho and Shyala. The largest Nubry monastery located at Lho village with Mount Manaslu view on backdrop. After delicious lunch gradually climb up into the pine forest to Shyala village, best viewpoint which expose grand view of the surrounding Himalayas.

Day 17: Day hike to Pungyan glacier then trek to Samagaon (3517m, 6 hour)

The ancient Buddhist gomba laying at east face of Mount Manaslu on the side of pungyen glacier. Pun Gyen gomba journey will be a day trip from Syalla. There is glacier stream in between Syalla and Samagaon, the Pun Gyen gomba trail lead uphill pass reverse of the glacier river into the forest. After forest trek on grassy pasture, the magnificent view of surrounding Himalayas will make your day hike worth than expected. The Buddhist gomba situated at end of the meadow and before reaching to glacier. A pasture probably offers best vividly view of mount Manaslu. The small Buddhist gomba has main temple hall then some compartment for monks and visitor. The Pun gyen gomba often celebrate festival and numbers of local participant with monks. The travelers whoever willing to visit Pun Gyen Gomba should do round trip with sufficient foods and drinks or camp go with camping equipment.

Day 18: Acclimatization Day

Today is acclimatization day and can do some hiking around the Sama village. As you willing to spend your day, we can do some short or long hike in the valley regarding to your physicall fitness. For short and easy day trek to Birendra pond. The trail leads into the shrubs with short climbing up to ridge. From top you will see beautiful Birendra Lake and encounter some blue sheep around here. Then trek drops to guesthouse and make a lunch break then we do short hike to east bank of Budi Gandaki River to see yak breading. You can choose to do one of the below side trip.

Day trip to Manaslu Base Camp

If you want to do well acclimatize in alpine territory should ascend to Manaslu base camp. Manaslu base camp laying at height of 4,750 m. As you leave from Sama village, the gradual up trail pass into the shrubs of different vegetation and moraine. The path continuous north of Birendra lake. As soon as you reach at boulder, the strenuous up begins on switch-back up on rocky trail. As soon as we walked on gravel, we trek on end of north Manaslu glacier to Manaslu base camp. Manaslu base camp will be colorful in spring season where hundreds of climbers are waiting to go summits of Mount Manaslu. As the base camp stand height of 4800 m at ridge, it offers wider view of Nubry valley, turquoise Birendra Lake and surrounding Himalayan range. It will be 4 to 5 hrs trek up to base camp of Mount Manaslu and 3hrs back down to Samagaon.

Day 19: Trek from Samagau to Samdo (3740m, 4 hours)

The trail is very easy with little gentle up to Samdo (last village of Larkya La Pass trek) from Samagau. After leaving village, trail leads along west of river and shrubs with exceptional view of Mt. Manalsu and nearby peaks. There is no teashop between Sama and Samdo, after Crossing River and short climb up bring us to Samdo. Samdo village will offers more mountain view than Sama. First we will have lunch then short hike to the ridge, which make better for your inhalations system and good for sleeping. An evening we will get awesome sunset view on the Himalayan peaks.

Day 20: Trek from Samdo to Dharamasala (4480m/4 hours)

We will see amazing sunrise on Himalayan range, then gentle trek down to river and short climb up to Larkya Bazaar, where Tibetan used to selling garments and goods. From here right trail leading to Tibet, local go to Tibet border for buying goods by horse. We are taking left trail to further up, gradual up trail continuous with looking north crest of Mt. Manaslu and numerous of other peaks. After arriving Dharamsala and eating lunch, we do short trek with ascending few hundreds meter more than Dharamsala, this short acclimatize help you for your respiration

Day 21: Trek over Larkey La Pass (5,153 m/16,906 Ft) to Bhimthang (3890m, 8 hours)

Today is one of the most challenging and exciting day on our trek. Trek begins very early morning with ascending up from Dharmsala, we will climb nearly 700 m up from Dharamsala to summit of Larkya La Pass. Most part of trail going gradual up and short descend on the lake. There is one teashop along the pass but only open in peak season. We have short sturdy up just reaching to Larkya La Pass with numbers of colorful praying flags. We will get breathtaking Himalayan view of Annapurna range and Manaslu range from the summits. The trail descending from summit to Bhimthang with view of huge glaciers. There is beautiful lake on middle of glaciers. You will see beautiful sunset from Bhimthang on the Hiuchuli, Peak 29, Dr. Hark Gurung himal and few other peaks.

Day 22: Trek from Bhimthang to Tilche (2300m, 6 hours)

The trail descend through dense forest along the river, passing beautiful village and landscapes before reaching the Gurung village, Tilche.

Day 23: Drive from Dharapni to Kathmandu (1350 m, 8 hours)

From Tilche an hours trek down to Dharapani village, confluence of the Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trek. From Dherapani off-road drive towards to Besishahar which will be scenic bumpy drive and enjoy to have gorgeous view of waterfall at Chamje and Syange with striking paddies landscapes. Then our drive continues along the Marshyandi River and Trishuli River back to Kathmandu.

We believe deserve rest day at Kathmandu after Manaslu Tsum valley trek. It is leisure day spend day in your way with like shopping, resting or look around the unseen Kathmandu valley.

Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek is most varieties of nature and culture trek in northern center Nepal. The trek basically begins from tropical environment of rice terrace throughout typical settlement of bhraman and chhetri. Trek further up on the gorge of budi gandaki river on the tropical and sub-tropical setting. Light and short trekking gear is very useful from Soti Khola to Philim village.
