Helambu Circuit Trek

Helambu Circuit trek is very famous trek for trekker’s who is looking a short and gentle trek with beautiful scenery, unique untouched culture blend of Tamang and Hyolmo groups and it with views of magnificent Himalayas. Hyolmo is one of the indigenous tribes, who inhabitants northeast of Kathmandu on the foot of Jugal Himal. Helambu Circuit trekking trail lead through hub of Hyolmo villages namely Melamchigaun, Tarkya Gyang, Sermathang, Kakani with maximum culture excursions. Their unique culture is ornaments of Helambu trek.

The trek starts after short drive through out Kathmandu valley, place know Sundarijaal, and then fairly ascend up with view of stunning waterfall and water reserve of Kathmandu valley. Passing beautiful Tamang village and finest view of east corner of Kathmandu valley before trek into the dense forest, which is conserved by Shivapuri-Nagarjun National Park. Next following days trekking route lead through different villages with great view of Mother Nature. Helambu Circuit trek relatively easier trek, the trek can start less than hours drive from Kathmandu and less then half-day drive to reach Kathmandu from end point of trek.

Besides the amazing Himalayas and typical culture, the trek offers flora and fauna as well. While trek in national park often encounter wild boar, barking deer, monkey, jackal and entire forest filled of multi-colour rhododendron blooming in spring. 
From Chisopani and Magnigoath you will see breath taking view of wider Himalayan range in between Annapurna Himalayan range to Khumu Himalayan ranges. Kakani itself is best viewpoint of Jugal Himal. You will see beautiful monasteries, stupa, gompa, chorten and blowing Tibetan peace offering flags in Helambu Circuit trail. You will visit the Milarepa cave near to Malamchigaun, which has carrying story of Milarepa, a great Buddhist poetry. The unspoiled culture and nature scenery will makes your Helambu Circuit trekking forever memorial in entire your life.

Day 01:
Arrival at Kathmandu (1,345 m/4,428 Ft)
Day 02:
Trek permits procedure day or look around Kathmandu valley
Day 03:
Kathmandu to Chisopani (2,300 m/7,545 Ft & 4-5hrs trek)
Day 04:
Chisopani to Gul Bhanjyang (2,200 m/7,217 Ft & 5hrs trek)
Day 05:
Gul Bhantjyang to Magnigoth (3,300 m/10,826 Ft & 6hrs trek)
Day 06:
Magnigoth to Melamchigaun (2,560 m/8,398 Ft)
Day 07:
Melammchigaun to Tarke Gyang (2,580 m/8,464 Ft)
Day 08:
Tarke Gyang to Kakani (2,400 m/7,874 Ft)
