Pikey Peak Trek

Pikey Peak, a sacred spot of Sherpa that believe their deity live, where entire Sherpa worship annually on occasion of full moon on August with performance of shamans. The sanctified hill station is best to get breath taking Himalayan range and Solu valley.

Pikey Danda is one of the best view point in Nepal with offers 270 degree view of Himalaya including Kangchenjunga, Makalu, Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Number, Gourishanker, Langtang Lirung, Ganesh himal, Manaslu etc.

The Pikey peak Cultural trek begins from any of among these places Dhap, Shivalaya, Phaplu/Saller, Kija Phalate or trek down from Lukla as well. The combined trail presents beautiful nature and living culture of Sherpa and Tamang where lama, monk and local practicing Buddhism. Wherever journey begins it takes you into the solid villages and rhododendron forest that make entire forest colorful on spring. Basic accommodation are available with taste of authentic local meals where can see Buddhist flavors visit Jyapral gompa and Thupten Chholing monastery. The easy going 12 days culture trek can be done with scenic fly and drive and it can do any time in year except July and August because of rain, best time to do in April and May where entire jungle bloom with rhododendron flower.

Day 01:
Meeting or Arrival at Kathmandu (1,370 m/4,494 Ft)
Day 02:
Free day in Kathmandu or Cultural sightseeing in the valley
Day 03:
Kathmandu to Dhap (2,930 m/9,610 Ft & 10hrs drive)
Day 04:
Dhap to Jyapre Gomba (2,850 m/9,348 Ft & 4-5hrs trek)
Day 05:
Jyapral Gomba to Pikey Base Camp (3,730 m/12,234 Ft & 5-6 hrs trek)
Day 06:
Day hike to both Pikey peak then trek to Jase Bhanjyang (3,550 m/11,644 Ft & 5-6hrs trek)
Day 07:
Jase Bhanjyang to Jun besi (2,670 m/8,757 Ft & 5-6 hrs trek)
Day 08:
Jun Besi to Thupten chholing Monastery (3,100 m/10,168 Ft & 5-6hrs trek)
Day 09:
Thupten Chholing Monastery to Salung (3,440 m/11,283 & 5-6hrs trek)
Day 10:
Sailung to Phaplu (2,415 m/7,921 Ft & 5-6 hrs trek)
Day 11:
Phaplu to Kathmandu 11 hrs drive or 30 minute flight
Day 12:
Rest in Kathmandu
Day 13:
Departure.
