Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1,350 m/ 4,420 Ft)

Musical Adventure Trekking staff will be received you from arrival gate of Tribhuwan international airport with written your name on sign-board. Then transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu valley Sightseeing

We having extra night at Kathmandu before onward to mountainous, in leisure day at Kathmandu, take a short tour into the Kathmandu valley and take a look oldest Hindu temple in Nepal and take a photos with sadhus at Pashupatinath temple. Next sightseeing around Bouddhanath temple which known as tittle Tibet of Nepal. 9 storey stupa have 36 m height and the Tibetan flag hanging down from crest of stupa to bottom which is most charming of boudha. After spending some valuable time drive back to hotel and finale packing of trek.

Day 03: From Kathmandu fly to Lukla then trek to Phakding (2,670 m/8,757 Ft & 4 hours trek)

Short mountain flight takes us to Lukla, the trail across the large lukla village and then gradual down to Sherpa village at Chhuplung. Continuing descend well-furnished trekking path, spectacular Mount Kusumkangaru see and ascend through villages along with long fresh watery Milky River to Phakding.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,450 m/11,316 Ft & 6-7 hours trek)

We set-off trek from Phakding then rapidly cross over the saggy suspension bridge more than 5 times including Hillary bridge. The gradual-up trail takes through villages namely Benkar, Monju then Jorsalle where plenty of teashop are available. From Monjo entering to Sagarmatha national park, check the Cho La Pass trek permits then short drop down to Jorsalle. So there is no restaurant beyond the Jorsalle to Namche Bazaar, after lunch at Jorsalle, it will be enjoyable trek with crossing Hillary Bridge, a tallest suspension bridge of the trek. As we onward to Namche village from here trek on zig-zag trail with have Mountain View of including Mount Everest, Thamserku, Kusum etc.

Day 05: Namche Bazaar: Acclimatization Day

Before heading to Cho La Pass, acclimatization is physical demand and it help us to involve with changed environment. A extra night at Namche will let us explore the twin Sherpa village of Everest trekking known as "Khumjung and Khunde". The journey set-off from Namche and taking western route from village with passing gompa and ascending uphill on wider well-constructed path. As arise higher get picturesque view of Namche Bazaar and see panoramic view Himalayas including Ama Dablam, Kongde peak, Thamserku, Taboche, Lhotse and Mount Everest. Yak farm is on east of the trekking route where can see colorful yak babies. Trek down to Khunde village and visit hospital which financially support by the Himalayan trust, Sir Edmond Hillary is founder of the trust. This only one proper hospital in Khumbu and incurred trekker's and local since it established. From here trek down to Khumjung village then visit Hillary school and monastery where can see yeti skull. Late afternoon trek down to Namche village and get significant sunset on Mount Everest before head down to guesthouse.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Dole (4,040 m/13,251 Ft & 5 hours trek)

We leave from Namche Bazaar with taking gradual up and level trail of classical Everest base camp route to Kyanjuma. Gokyo valley trail divert uphill on the grassy pasture and we expected to spot Himalayan pheasants, musk deer, mountain Thar, Himalayan Goral etc. 4000 m Mong-La hill, offer great view of Tengboche monastery and Mount Ama Dablam. Little incline into the shrubs take us on bank of Dudh Koshi River. Now we trek uphill climb on the rhododendron and yellow pine forest and water fall to Dole village, from here we get good view of Mount Cho Oyu on west and Thamserkuk on east.

Day 07: Dole to Machhermo village (4,440 m/14,563 Ft & 5 hours trek)

Trek begins after breakfast, it is one of the easiest trek day with gradual-up trek from Dole to Machhermo village. The small trail marked on yak pasture that pass Luza village even can see the marked spot of Yeti hunt Yak and women. After lunch hike to viewpoint which is 200 m above the Macherrmo. We can also visit Himalayan Rescue Hospital where can get information about the AMS regarding to precaution and primary treatment.

Day 08: Machhermo to Gokyo Lake (4,730 m/15,514 Ft & 5-6 hours trek)

We follow little trail along with Ngozumpa glacier, the largest Himalayan glacier begins from Mount Cho Oyu. Today trek route is completely gradual up on terminal of glacier then trek aside of First Lake (Longpongo), Second Lake (Raboche Tsho) and then finally arrive at Gokyo Lake. The enjoyable trek offers spectacular view of black hill with together white marked trail which leading on top of the Gokyo-Ri. Then short hike on direction of Renjo La pass for acclimatization.

Day 09: Ascend to Gokyo Ri (5,364 m/17,593 Ft) then side trip to Gokyo 5th Lake

We spend extra night at Gokyo Lake for acclimatization before heading to Cho La Pass and Everest base camp. In term of good weather and physically fit, we do long day hike from Gokyo lake-Ngozumpa Ri and back to Gokyo lake. We follow trail on midst of longest Himalayan glacier where pass 4th Gokyo lake even get extraordinary view of north face of Mount Everest from 5th Gokyo Lake. We continuous our trek further-up then climb-up a Ngozumpa viewpoint, will guarantee gives close remarkable view of Mount Cho Oyu, Everest and numerous peak. As you each summit of the vantage point, it offers massive view of entire Ngozumpa glacier including whole Gokyo Lake.

Day 10: Gokyo Lake to Thagnak/Dragnak (4,810 m/15,776 Ft & 3-4 hours trek)

The day start with uphill climbing to Gokyo Ri, it is tiring 2:30 hrs arise from Gokyo Lake to Gokyo Ri. Gokyo Peak is most beautiful viewpoint among the Everest region trek. Get perfect view of Ngozupma glacier next to the turquoise gokyo lake and walled mountain range. Do not forget to take portrait photographs from top then drop-down to guesthouse and trek continuous after eat hot and delicious breakfast. From Gokyo journey onward onto the Ngozumpa glacier to Dragnak, base camp of Cho La Pass. While trek over the mountain glacier, we feel vibrate of movement and even find rock rolling down from hill, do not forget to step on guide footprint. Should have relax and comfort sleep and well prepare for next day which will be quite tough.

Day 11: Thagnak to Zhongla (4,820 m/15,800 Ft & 8 hours trek) via Cho La Pass (5,420 m/17,777 Ft)

Today will be longest trek day which takes over the Cho La Pass (17,777 Ft), we need approximately 8 hrs trek from Dragnak to Zhongla. We have quite long ascend climbing on wreckage, crumble and scree even rocky climbing as well. It is tiny pinnacle from here can see Mount Lhotse, Lbuche peak. The descend is quite tricky on walking on glacier, rolling stone and high step on boulder. This territory is strictly prohibited trek alone without guide because of the boulder rock, ice and glacier. While descending to Zhogn-La get great mountain vista likely Mount Ama Dablam, Barutnse, Lhotse, Taboche, Cholatse and Nuptse. Dzong-La set on bottom of towering Mount Toboche.

Day 12: Zhong La to Lobuche (4,950 m/16,236 Ft & 3-4 hours trek)

Dzong-La is perfect place to see shinning snow-capped mountain including Taboche and Ama Dablam. After hard-hitting day, we deserve short and easy day. We have 3-4 hrs commonly flat trek from Dzong-La to Lobuche. Before reaching to Lobuche, the trail come across a junction then the route became dramatically busier than Gokyo valley area.

Day 13: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5,180 m/16,990 Ft) – EBC (5,364 m/17,563 Ft & 8 hours trek)

It takes about 3 hrs trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep, the trail is along the moraine of Khumbu glacier. You will have enjoyable walk with viewing surrounding Himalayas and EBC onward to Gorakshep. As soon as arrived Gorakshep, have early lunch then make a way to Everest base camp with carrying sufficient water for up and down way with Choco bar. This section of trail have dry wind often light snow-fall at late afternoon. The pebble path is consider as moderate but feel less breath. After early lunch at Gorakshep, set off for EBC. Make sure have sufficient battery on electronic device for photos. It is fairly moderate climb in dry/cold wind onto the moraine of large Khumbu Glacier. The Everest base camp set on next to Khumbu Ice-fall at height of 5,370 m. The base camp is more colorful on following month March-April-May where can see the Everest climber taking necessary rest before finale procedure to summit. The climbers tented camp look striking against the snow-walled. Trail from Gorakshep to EBC is more comfortable on spring than autumn. The glacier have movement in monsoon that make the path more pebble and unstable in post monsoon.

Day 14: Climb Kalapatthar (5,644 m) then trek to Dingboche (4,420 m/14,497 Ft & 7 hours trek)

The strenuous Kalapathhar trail is well furnished and will takes 2:30 hours from Gorakshep. The exceptional view of striking Himalayas and Everest base camp is highlight of the Kalapatthar. The last 20 minute trail is steep-up on rock to rock until reach to the crest of the black stone. From the pinnacle enjoy to see arresting Mountain View including nearest vision of Mount Everest South Col, Nuptse, Lo La and several other peaks. After spending some time at Kalapatthar, at bottom of mount Pumari, return to guesthouse. The rest of trek continuous after breakfast then retrace to Lobuche. Before make lunch break at Dukla, take a look Everest summiteer cemetery where can see individual grave of climber then short crumbling takes us Thukla. As soon as crossing the Khumbu Khola, 3 more hours slow down trek to Dingboche village.

Day 15: Dingboche to Tengboche (3,870 m/12,693 Ft & 4-5 hours trek)

Today have short and easy trek from Dingboche to Tengboche monastery, mostly trekking descend with visiting oldest Buddhist monastery of Everest trekking at Upper-Pangboche. Can see hand and skull of Yeti and exceptional view of Mount Ama dablam with together Pangboche Monastery. Soon a crossing the Imja River little uphill into the rhododendron forest to Tengboche monastery. Later on evening participant on daily ritual at monastery and catch sunset on Ama Dablam.

Day 16: Tyangboche to Namche (3,440 m & 4-5 hours trek)

From Tengboche can see burning sunrise on Mount Everest and Lhotse then trail descending again on bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Now trek ascend up passing village to Namche village.

Day 17: Namche to Lukla (2,670 m/8,757 Ft & 6-7 hours trek)

Today is last day of physical trek, it is bit long walk from Namche Bazaar to Lukla and will takes about 6-7 hrs. Then evening cheer-up with entire crew and good sleep.

Day 18: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

About 35 minute flight presents great view of mountains, landscapes and countryside of Nepal. As soon as arrive Kathmandu airport transfer to hotel. Then entire day take a rest and shopping.

Standard pattern itinerary advise to trek 4-7hrs each day. If possible keep at least 19 days extra than as you plan your trek, because your Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu flight might be delay.
Yes, Nepal is completely safe to do any adventurous, cultural and outdoor activities after earthquake. We had a minimum earthquake damages along the measure trekking areas except the Langtang village. Yes every body know Langtang village been washed out by earthquake avalanches but by now temporary settlement is build for trekker’s.
Normal and standard accommodation in available en route of Everest Cho La Pass Trek. The room is cozy, neat and clean and must of room has twin-sharing bed with Mountain View. All the room has one complementary blanket but it is not enough warm for night should take good quality sleeping bag from town. We advise to take -15 ºc sleeping bags with inner cotton liners. Most of the hotel is basic lodge/guest house and most of them have bathrooms inside the room except Lobuche and Gorakshep. But the toilet is inside the same building. The entire hotel has neat and clean western sitting toilet and Asian squat toilet unless temperature went minus and frozen the water. From 5pm to 8pm normally they on he chimney in dinning and the hall stay warm.
Mountain/trekking guide are educated, experienced and knowledge about the culture, history and regions of Nepal. The guide have to attend certified course that are offered by Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and they need to attend 45Days classes.

You will not be responsible to carry your luggage from Lukla - Gokyo - EBC - Lukla. The porters can carry load between 25kg to 30kg (sharing between two trekker's). Yes Everest Base Camp is at height of 5,363-m/17,590 ft but we will not reaching Everest Base Camp in 1 or 2 days or not starting trek from right at the Base Camp. We need a minimum 8days to reach at the Everest Base Camp by the time you reaching at Everest Base camp you will admire of the local atmosphere or used to be with environment. Then by the time you arriving at Base Camp, you will definitely fill less oxygen but you will not feel you are standing 17,590 ft.
No, We do not advise do Everest Cho La Pass trek with kids. Cho La Pass marked as a challenging trekking pass in Nepal. There will be extremely cold while doing Cho La Pass and trekking trail is rocky and slippery as well.

If you carry any currency with you either $/€/¥/£ travel cheque, it will be exchange but less value than commercial city like Kathmandu. Cho La Pass Everest base camp trek begins from altitude of 2800 m and reach up to 5,650 m. We trek on humid weather in between Namche to Lukla. After that day temperature stay approximately 15 degree Celsius but will have dry wind.
