Annapurna base camp Trek AKA Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, a moderate trek begins from the terraced steamy valley of Bhirethanti, which is lying 45 km close by Pokhara. We will walk through the rhododendron woods of the Hinko Cave and pass by different Gurung villages such as Chomrong and Landrung. The path will move all along the Modi River that provides stunning views of Machhapuchhre Base Camp 3,880 m and Annapurna Base Camp 4,130 m. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350 m/4,428 Ft)

Our official representative will receive you from the Tribhuwan International airport (TIA) with fresh wrath then transfer to hotel by private transport in midst of town of Kathmandu, Thamel. Once you arrive at hotel then complete check in formalities. Thamel is very convenient town of Kathmandu, you can easily access to international and local cuisine restaurant and pick any kinds of shopping travel books, novel, handicraft and trekking gears.

Day 02: Trek Preparation day and half day Kathmandu valley Sightseeing

2nd day of your Nepal holiday is leisure and easy with cultural excursion around Kathmandu valley which is blend of multi-religious. The three outstanding medieval cities created Kathmandu valley, Kathmandu is capital of Nepal which is most populate city with hub of multi-culture. The valley is more known as exposition of elegant Buddhist monasteries and Hindu’s temple with living culture. The three cities has well-designed old palaces with unique newari architectures, a traditional courtyard and the colorful stupas and Chhorten. Musical Adventure Trekking will arrange experience tour guide with private transport to do Kathmandu valley sightseeing. The tour will begins from Swayambhunath temple, monkey temple located nearby thamel at midst of basin. The exceptional view of valley will see from Swayambhunath temple, you should alert from monkey. From Swayanbhunath drive northeast of valley to Bouddhanath stupa, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal, it is completely Buddhist zone and it called little Tibet as well, it best places to buy Tibetan souvenir. Then short drive along the holy river to Pashupatinath temple, the oldest and holiest Hindu temple in the valley. The ritual funeral held on bank of River and meet the holy man few meters above the ghat.

Day 03: 8 hour drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m/2,690 Ft)

We are leaving early morning from Kathmandu with deluxe tourist bus, a 7hrs journey will break twice on Prithivi Highway for breakfast and lunch. It will be completely scenic drive, the scenery will be change theatrically like in movies and documentary, grand view of northern Himalayan range will see from Nagdung (snake stone) then valley of lush and green with cultivate landscapes. After that drive follow on bank of Trishuli and Marshyandi River on canyon. Once arrive at Pokhara, in-term of good weather ascend to world peace stupa and get awesome sunset on panoramic Annapurna Himalayan range.

Day 04: Pokhara to Ulleri (2,150 m/7,057 Ft & 5 hours trek)

An hour drive begins from Pokhara after breakfast, it presents breathtaking mountain view from Naudanda. Then drive drop to Nayapul and actually trek begins through village ahead to Bhirethanti. Gradual trail ascend on reverse of Burungi River into the lush and greeneries landscapes. Pass the indigenous habitants’ villages with extraordinary cultural excursions, once cross the suspension bridge of Burungi River strenuous climb-up through typical magar village to ridge, Ulleri.

Day 05: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,750 m/9,020 Ft & 5 hours trek)

The trail frequently ascending from Uller to Ghorepani across the traditional magar villages and forest of blowing Rhododendron. There are few teashop along the trekking route where take a rest and have some hot or cold drinks. Barking deer and birds whistling create natural noise in the silence forest. From Ulleri to Ghorepani will have interesting walk with green landscape scenarios and Mountain View.

Day 06: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2,680 m/8,790 Ft & 6 hours trek)

Early morning we trek to amazing viewpoint of Annapurna region, Poon Hill. It is the busiest and most visited viewpoint of Annapurna trekking route in Nepal. The 45 minute strenuous steep-up walk along the stone-stair inside the rhododendron forest brings us at exceptional viewpoint, Poon Hill. It laying at height of 3,210 m and 400 M above the Ghodepani with presents grand panoramic Annapurna Himalayan range. The most rewards and amazing achievement of 45 minute trek is fiery golden color sunrise in snowy peak, spend around 30minute with cup of hot drinks at viewpoint then drop descend to guesthouse and have hot and delicious breakfast. The second part of trek begins from Ghorepani with ascending up as high as Poon Hill. Now get close-up view of Annapurna south and other peaks from Chautara “Stone resting place”. Then trek into the forest of mixed shrubbery and descending to Deurali, again descending to Bhanthanti. An easy trekking trail lead on beautiful rhododendron forest then still descend to natural-stream which follow down from Muldei Hill. While trekking uphill will see wild birds and monkey. Tatapani is laying in middle of rhododendron forest with offering outstanding view of Annapurna Himalayan range.

Day 07: Tadapani to Sinuwa (2,240 m/7,347 Ft & 6 hours trek)

As usual trek begin after delicious breakfast at Tadapani then steep downward across forest and village to Kimrong Khola. On way to Ghurjung beautiful valley appears with snake curved river on landslides landscapes. We trek over the suspension bridge at bottom of valley then climb-up to silence gurung village, now we will feel bit humid on flattened path from Ghurjung to Chhomrong. From Chhomrong walk down steep stone staircase to river and get stunning view of steamy waterfall other side of valley. We ascend trek again along the cultivate farm to Sinuwa, it approach good view of Chhomrong village on top of the hill.

Day 08: Sinuwa to Deurali (3,200 m/10,496 Ft & 6 hours trek)

Short ascend bring us at upper Sinuwa from now trek continuous in gorge laterally the Modi river. Flattened train into the forest pass Khuldi ghar and descend on the bamboo bush to Bamboo. From Bamboo the path to ABC is trodden through bamboo and flora to Dovan. As soon as leave Dovan the trail mostly ascending up into silence forest and get stunning view of waterfall other side of the river with boulder formation of rock. Trek continuing up foot of boulder on pebble trail to Hinku cave, a single rocky cave was milestone for many of the earlier Annapurna I expeditions which used it as an overnight spot and often also as a supply store then descend to the stream and again ascend to Deurali.

Day 09: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m/13,546 Ft & 5 hours trek)

From Deurali to Bagaar has seasonal trail from December to May we trek east bank of river and other season we trek on west bank of river. We are leaving tree lines behind us from Bagaar and gradual ascend on canyon of huge boulder. As soon as arrive at base camp of holy Mt. Machhapuchhare, the breathtaking Mountain View will be seen. From MBC trek ahead on direction of Annapurna base camp with targeting Annapurna south because the guesthouse/lodge are settle on foot of peak of Annapurna south. The trail nonstop ascend up for a while then gradual-up path continuous to reward Annapurna base camp. Later an evening, get incredible sunset on Mt. Machhapuchhare and surrounding Himalayan range, the amazing sunset over the panoramic Himalayan will make your Himalayan adventure worth it. After a good day and well eating and drinking definitely sleep well in warm insulation room with your own sleeping bag and complimentary blanket.

Day 10: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2,340 m/7,675 Ft & 6 hours trek

Your morning will begins with viewing golden ray burning sunrise on Annapurna I and neighboring Himalayas. The massive glacier following down from ruggy Annapurna I and goes down at bottom of Machhapuchhare base camp. After beautiful morning and delicious breakfast trek down pass MBC, Deurali and Himalaya, finally arrive at Dovan.

Day 11: Dovan to Jinuwa Danda (1,720 m/5,620 Ft & 5 hours trek)

We retrace trek to Chhomrong with ascend and descend then steep descend to Jhinu Danda. First take room and short descend to on bank of Mordi River. We will dip in natural hot spring then relief from muscle pain. Before get dark trek uphill to guesthouse.

Day 12: Jinuwa Danda to Pothana (1,900 m/6,232 Ft & 7 hours trek)

Today again we are ascending uphill from bank of Modi River. After crossing suspension bridge at new bridge, trek ascend gradual-up through village Landrunk, Tolkha, Prittam Deurali and Pothana with exposing great view of landscapes and mountain.

Day 13: Pothana to Pokhara (850 m/2,788 Ft & 3 hours trek) then 30 minute drive

A short day trek mostly descending from Pothana to Phedi via Dhampus village, a half day trek presents grand view of Annapurna Himalayan range and wider valley of greeneries. From Phedi we drive by private transport to Pokhara.

Day 14: 8 hour drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara

It is scenic drive in busiest highway of Nepal. The bus accordingly make a break for lunch, snack and toilet before finished the driving. Evening fare-well dinner will be organized by Musical Adventure Trekking among the best restaurant in Thamel.

Here we come to the end of our memorable a week long Himalayan trip. We transferred to international airport according to your flight schedule then onward journey to home.

You can obtain Nepal visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. Standard accommodation is available in Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The room is cozy, neat and clean and must of room has twin-sharing bed with Mountain View. All the room has one complementary blanket but it is not enough warm for night should take good quality sleeping bag from town. We advise to take -15 ºc sleeping bags with inner cotton liners. Most of the hotel is basic lodge/guest house and most of them have bathrooms inside the building. The entire hotel has neat and clean western sitting toilet and Asian squat toilet unless temperature went minus and frozen the water. From 5pm to 8pm normally they on he chimney in dinning and the hall stay warm. Regarding to meal along Annapurna Sanctuary trek, we will give you open menu, you can select any meals from menu like Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Continental and Nepalese cuisine with hot soup. Our experienced guide know lot about the meal, please consult with him about foods along the trek.
Mountain/trekking guide are educated, experienced and knowledge about the culture, history and regions of Nepal. The guide have to attend certified course that are offered by Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and they need to attend 45Days classes.
You should be up to date on routine vaccination where you are but the some of the health association WHO and CDC recommended get these vaccination before get into Nepal, like Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, Japanese Encephalitis, Malaria and Rabies. These disease can be transmitted to stranger people from water, meal, sexual relationship with local, animal bites etc.
You will not be responsible to carry your luggage from Hille - ABC - Phedi. The porters can carry load between 25kg to 30kg (sharing between two trekker's). You will be responsible to carry your day pack with the essential and personal things such as water, Camera, wind and waterproof jacket, sun lotion extra camera batteries.
Yes, you need to be fit to do Annapurna Base Camp Trek, The best way to train yourself for ABC trek is to strap a pack on your back and go hiking as long as you can. By doing so your feet and joints will become accustomed to the constant walking you will face on the trek. Also be sure to hit the gym and run.
Yes you could do Annapurna Base Camp Trek even it is first trek in your life or scared of Heights. Yes Annapurna Base Camp is at height of 4,200M/13,776FT from sea level But we will not reaching Annapurna Base Camp in 1 or 2 days or not starting trek from right at the Base Camp. We need a minimum 8days to reach at the Base Camp by the time you reaching at Everest Base camp you will admire of the local atmosphere or used to be with environment. Then by the time you arriving at Base Camp, you will definitely fill less oxygen but the Mountain View will make you smiles.
Yes you could do Annapurna Base Camp trek with your family and Kids. We often organized family trek to Annapurna Base Camp, Most important things, the kids have to be old enough to recognize, understand and able to communicate of the early sign of Altitude Sickness. We advise to parent and please don't bring the child, if child are not understand risk. Because of kids are traveling more than 3,500M and have to spend overnight at 4,170M. in ABC and it will uncomfortable for kids because of less oxygen and cold temperature.
There is no ATM entire trek in the village If you carry any currency with you either $/€/¥/£ travel cheque, it will be exchange but less value than commercial city like Kathmandu or Pokhara. If you prefer to carry cards with you, there is swap machine along the trail but 5% charge will be applicant on top of the total amount.
