For your information Lukla flights are notorious for being delayed to and fro Kathmandu by few hours or even cancelled for a day. Due to uncertain climate change that occurs often at Lukla, you are advised to have extra days for your stay in Nepal.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428 Ft)

Musical Adventure Trekking airport representatives come to receive arrival gate of Tribhuvan international with your name on play board. You will be welcomed with fresh garland of colorful marigold then short drive to hotel at Thamel, hub of touristic district. Alley and street is profusion of multiple cuisine restaurant, handicraft, accommodation, bakery, coffee shop and trekking gears even world popular songs play live in the bar.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Day Excursion

Your buffet breakfast will serve at hotel restaurant from 7 am and by 9 am your tour guide will come to pick you up at your hotel. We Musical Adventure Trekking provides car/van/hiace/bus depend on group size. As soon as your vehicle leave from hotel, guide will give you brief summary of Kathmandu valley and Nepal history. Kathmandu is capital of Nepal with dense population city, the valley is bursting with religious spot, historical palace of medieval era and colorful local market.

Pashupatinath temple: The Shikhara style gilded roof top Hindu temple is located on bank of holy Bagmati River, it was builded in 15th century by malla dynasty. Lots of medieval statue of deities are around in the Pashupati complex with 1025 statue of shiva Linga. The cremation take a place on bank of Bagmati river and holy man seated on Ram temple.

Bouddhanath stupa: Must visit Buddhist spot in Kathmandu with huge stupa surrounded by walled of praying wheel then praying flag come down from crest of stupa symbolic of Mount Meru to nearly monastery and house. Thousands of Buddhist devotees take a clockwise direction loop of stupa in sunrise and sunset period in the day. Entire complex have Tibetan flavor even can see maroon dressed monk chanting with Tibetan bead and spanning praying wheel on hand and prostration at ground floor of the octagonal stupa.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: Another historical monument in the valley with primitive architecture, 2015 earthquake had destroyed Kasthamandap temple, Manju Dega & Vishnu Narayan Temple, Kakashwar temple, Shiva Parvati temple.The remaining temple and monuments Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju temple, Kumari Bahal and big bell makes the complex beautiful. Kumari Bahal is house of living goddess, you will get glance of Hindu goddess at 4pm daily.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Phaplu/Salleri (2,413 m/7,917 Ft & 11 hrs drive))

Your guide escorted trip will begins an early morning from hotel, the public bus or jeep will drive on BP highway. It will be complete scenery drive with observing magnificent landscapes view and Himalayas. The drive will stop along the way for breakfast, lunch and toileting. Arising 1000 m more than Kathmandu, the temperature will suddenly colder than Kathmandu at Phaplu.

Day 04: Phaplu to Nunthala/Manidingma (2,470 m/8,100 Ft & 6 hrs trek)

After breakfast Salleri to Mera peak trekking trip begins with involving incline walking. The gentle trail continuous along the Sherpa village, rice terrace and forest to Ringmu, a tiny Sherpa village with apple orchid and yak cheese factory. The trail begin uphill into the village and forest to Takshindu ridge with ascending 500 m, the colorful Buddhist monastery lies few metre below the ridge and get view of Number and Mera peak. Now descend to Manidingma as height as Phaplu.

Day 05: Nunthala to Khari Khola (2,180 m/7,150 Ft & 6 hrs trek)

Trek begins after breakfast and first section of trek descend with pass the villages, forest and walk over suspension bridge of Dudh Koshi River. Now trail toward with ascending up and passing Juving-Picturesque village of Rai. The trail keep ascending up on maize farm up to Khari Khola. After rest walk up to Khari Khola monastery and cultural excursion at shoe shave Khari khola village.

Day 06: Khari Khola to Pangkongma (2,850 m/9,348 Ft & 5 hrs trek)

We begins journey with ascend up through agriculture farm, probably meet local harvesting or plowing depend on season. Uphill trail take into the rhododendron forest then arrive at Pangkongma.

Day 07: Pangkongma to Nashing Dingma (2,591m/8,500 Ft & 5 hours trek)

From the Nashing Dingma, trail uphill into the mix forest of pine and rhododendron to Pangkogma La (3,173 m). The ridge presents mountain vista and green valley again climb up up to Shibuche. After hot and delicious lunch trek continuous down into the forest where can see yak grazing, then pass river which follow down from Hinku valley and finally arrive at Nashing Dingma.

Day 08: Nashing Dingma to Chhatra Khola (2,800 m/9,186 Ft & 7 hours trek)

As soon as leave from Dingma, trail take down thru forest then climb to Surkie. Surkie ridge is great viewpoint, from here will see Makalu and Dhaulagiri including wilderness Hongu valley and walk along holy five pond. After that we pass local tea shop at Phokte, Chalem Kharka, Danda Kharka then arrive at Chhatra Khola.

Day 09: Chhatra Khola to Kothe (3,691 m/12,109 Ft & 7 hours trek)

As trek getting closer to Mera peak, getting deeper into the remote Hinku valley. We trek along the Hinku Khola and stop at teashop before Kothe.

Day 10: Kothe to Thaknak (4,358 m/14,297 Ft & 5 hours trek)

After breakfast we rapidly climb up on grassy meadow where habitually see blue sheep and mountain goat. Repeatedly cross the Hinku Khola up to Gondishung while lunch breakfast visit old Lungsumgba gomba. From here short grassy trail on shade of Kusum Kangaroo and Mera peak takes to Thaknak.

Day 11: Thaknak to Khare (5,000 m/16,400 Ft & 6 hours trek)

The trail follow onto the moraine of Dig glacier and Shar glacier with exceptional view of Charpate Himal. Steep up into the thin air takes us to Khare, Khare is surrounded by nearby snow-capped mountains.

Day 12: Acclimatization at Khare

This is a rest day before heading to Mera peak, from morning to noon will have free day. After breakfast possibly short ascend to ridge for acclimatization then back to lodge. The Sherpa guide will teach basic climb technique for example how to use ice axe, harness, jumaring on fixed rope, crampon and ascender climbing boots.

Day 13: Khare to Mera High Camp (5,800 m/19,024 Ft & 7 hours trek)

We trek sturdy up on Mera glacier and cross the Mera La (5,400 m), the trail is rocky and crevasses as well. The tented camp offer amazing sunset view of Himalayas including Mt. Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Ama dablam, the south face of Lhotse, Nuptse, Chamlang and Baruntse.

Day 14: Mera Base Camp to Mera Peak (21,247 Ft) then descend to Khare

The most exciting and important day of the entire Mera Peak trip, as it going to be long and tough day, our crew will serve bed tea in tent around 1 am then eat hot breakfast. Early morning outside temperature will be below zero degree. Before make a way to summit of Mera. Put on all your climbing equipment in your body then climbing Sherpa guide will final check-up climbing gear. Way to Mera peak summit from camp is rocky and icy sturdy up with breathless view of Himalayan range including Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Cho-Oyu (8,210 m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,463 m), Kangchenjunga (8,586 m), Nuptse (7,855 m), Chamlang (7,319 m), Baruntse (7,129 m) and numerous of peaks. Absolutely thin air onto the glacier but the burning sunrise on rugged snow-capped mountain give you extra effort to make summit. Few metre before final step to summit, your climbing guide probably fix rope it base on present condition. After achieve the goal of trip, we retrace to high Camp then after hot lunch descend to Khare.

Day 15: Reserve Day for Incase Weather Turn Bad

No body predict about the weather even cannot give guarantee, if weather turn bad on Day 14 then should try on next day. If every things goes well in the trip, this day can be use anywhere after summit of Mera Peak on your desire.

Day 16: Khare to Kothe (3,691 m/12,109 Ft & 6 hours trek

Descending from Khare to Kothe is much easier than ascending up, the paved and rocky trial probably shaky for you. The path descending along the river with Mountain View.

Day 17: Kothe to Zatrwa La pass (4,600 m/14,720 Ft & 6-7 hours trek)

Again the trekking route leading down in to the forest with crossing spring and river even pass the animal graze. We can have lunch convenient village either at Thule Kharka or Tashing Dingma. After lunch ascending up on meadow to near to Zaerwa La Pass, where few lodge with basic accommodation are available.

Day 18: Zatrwa La pass to Lukla (2,860 m/9,380 Ft & 7 hrs trek)

We trek over the Zatrwa-La pass with height of 4,600, the pass presents breathless view of mountains Cho Oyu, Kongde, Number, Kusum Kangaroo, Khumbi La and Khumbu valley. From here trek descend with passing Chutanga then steep descend to Lukla. An evening have group dinner with together entire crew which mean to be celebration of Mera peak succeed.

Day 19: Lukla to Kathmandu Flight

From Lukla, narmaly flight operate in the morning as the weather permitted, our trekking crew come to drop you at airport then 35 minute scenic flight will bring us at Kathmandu. You will get Ariel Mountain View of Makalu, Khumbila, Gaurishanker, Langtang himal and Mera peak from windows of the small plane. Upon arrive domestic terminal of Tribhuwan International airport, you will be receive by car then transfer to hotel. Then have your own time with strolling around Thamel probably buying souvenir and relaxing at bar with Nepalese beer and Yak steak then evening Musical adventure trekking will provides cultural dinner in authentic Nepalese restaurant.

Day 20: Departure

The Nepal holiday come to end by now but we believed will keep in touch in future. Meals and accommodation along Mera Peak Trekking and Climbing

As Mera peak package trip begins, you will get buffet breakfast at Kathmandu with juice and tea/coffee. During trek in the mountain, you can choose any food items from restaurant menu where Tibetan, Chinese, Indian and continental meals are available with hot drinks. Our own chief will cook dinner/breakfast and pack lunch at Mera peak base camp in tented camp. Basically for breakfast bread, egg and cereal items with hot drinks. Then for lunch fried rice/noodles/potatoes/momo/spaghetti with adding veg, cheese and eggs. For dinner any hot soup with any main course after that you will get some fresh fruits (apple/orange/banana) as dessert. End of trip, we will give you farewell dinner at Kathmandu either steak or Nepalese foods in authentic restaurant with cultural show.

Regardding to Accommodation, Upon your arrival Ttribhuwan International airport, we transfer to hotel at Thamel, we have booked comfortable air-condition room. While during the trek in mountain, we arrange twin sharing basis room with windows. Then minimum one night accommodation will arrange in two-man tent at base camp of Mera peak. We will provides four-seasonal sleeping bag for entire Mera peak trek even mattress and extra blanket for overnight at tent. The local guesthouse have neat and clean cozy room with alternative power for night. All the lodge has chimney facilities where yak dungs burn and it help to make restaurant and dining warm until bed time. Toilet always end of the building with squat toilet then our crew fix temporary toilet at Mera base camp.

Mera Peak Equipment List

Being the highest trekking peak of Himalayas definitely can ascend with help of apposite climbing gear. The climbing gear must require onward from Mera base camp. Below 5,800 m elevation, can do trek through forest and village on normal trekking stuffs, be smarter take light weight warm cloth with tackle freezing cold.

Before Trekking begins from Kathmandu, Musical Adventure Trekking provides complimentary water proof duffle bag, four-seasonal sleeping bag, down jacket on return basic after completing trek. Most of night your accommodation will assemble at local lodge except Mera High Camp (perhaps 2 nights). Company will arrange tent (sleeping, kitchen and toilet) for Mera high camp with mattress and kitchen supplies. If you are regular climber then worth to buy the gear in-spite that can hire require climbing gear in affordable price at Kathmandu or Khare village. We advise before rent gear should try in proper way. Following climbing gear should have with you before final depart to Mera peak climb.
