Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1,350 m/4,420 Ft)

Musical Adventure Trekking staff will be received you from arrival gate of Tribhuvan international airport with written your name on sign-board. Then transfer to hotel take a rest.

Day 02: Trek preparation day

As today is leisure day in Kathmandu, can use this day with visiting few places in Kathmandu likely

Boudhhanath stupa: largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal and it lying 7 km east from thamel. This is complete Tibetan town with verities of Tibetan handicraft


Pashupatinath temple: Oldest Hindu temple in the Kathmandu with uncounted Hindu monuments. The holy bagmati river follow at midst of the temple and create take places on bank of the river. The saddhu's are also attraction the Pashupatinath temple, cosmetic holy man waiting tourist corner of the holy sites.

Swayambhunath stupa: tallest point in center of the Kathmandu valley, it presents best view of dense Kathmandu valley with towering ganesh himal mountain. If could possible take 300 stone step stair up to the top from bottom which could help you stretch your knees for trek.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla then trek Phakding (2,670 m/8,757 Ft & 4 hours trek)

Short mountain flight takes us to Lukla, the trail across the large lukla village and then gradual down to Sherpa village at Chhuplung. Continuing descend well-furnished trekking path, spectacular Mount Kusumkangaru see and ascend through villages along with long fresh watery Milky River to Phakding.

Day 04: From Phakding trek to Namche Bazaar (3,450 m/11,316 Ft & 7 hours)

We set-off trek from Phakding then rapidly cross over the saggy suspension bridge more than 5 times including Hillary Bridge. The gradual-up trail takes through villages namely Benkar, Monju then Jorsalle where plenty of teashop are available. From Monjo entering to Sagarmatha national park, check the Cho La Pass trek permits then short drop down to Jorsalle. So there is no restaurant beyond the Jorsalle to Namche Bazaar, after lunch at Jorsalle, it will be enjoyable trek with crossing Hillary Bridge, a tallest suspension bridge of the trek. As we onward to Namche village from here trek on zig-zag trail with have Mountain View of including Mount Everest, Thamserku, Kusum etc.

Day 05: Extra Night at Namche Bazaar and Acclimatization Day

Before heading to Cho La Pass, acclimatization is physical demand and it help us to involve with changed environment. An extra night at Namche will let us explore the twin Sherpa village of Everest trekking known as "Khumjung and Khunde". The journey set-off from Namche and taking western route from village with passing gompa and ascending uphill on wider well-constructed path. As arise higher get picturesque view of Namche Bazaar and see panoramic view Himalayas including Ama Dablam, Kongde peak, Thamserku, Taboche, Lhotse and Mount Everest. Yak farm is on east of the trekking route where can see colorful yak babies. Trek down to Khunde village and visit hospital which financially support by the Himalayan trust, Sir Edmond Hillary is founder of the trust. This only one proper hospital in Khumbu and incurred trekker's and local since it established. From here trek down to Khumjung village then visit Hillary school and monastery where can see yeti skull. Late afternoon trek down to Namche village and get significant sunset on Mount Everest before head down to guesthouse.

Day 06: From Namche Bazaar trek to Dole (4,040 m/13,251 Ft & 6 hours trek)

We leave from Namche Bazaar with taking gradual up and level trail of classical Everest base camp route to Kyanjuma. Gokyo valley trail divert uphill on the grassy pasture and we expected to spot Himalayan pheasants, musk deer, mountain Thar, Himalayan Goral etc. 4000 m Mong-La hill, offer great view of Tengboche monastery and Mount Ama Dablam. Little incline into the Shrubs take us on bank of Dudh Koshi River. Now we trek uphill climb on the rhododendron and yellow pine forest and water fall to Dole village, from here we get good view of Mount Cho Oyu on west and Thamserkuk on east.

Day 07: From Dole trek to Machhermo (4,440 m/14,563 Ft & 5 hours trek)

Trek begins after breakfast, it is one of the easiest trek day with gradual-up trek from Dole to Machhermo village. The small trail marked on yak pasture that pass Luza village where Yeti attacked yak and women in 1974. After lunch hike to viewpoint which is 200 m above the Machherrmo. We can also visit Himalayan Rescue Hospital where can get information about the AMS regarding to precaution and primary treatment.

Day 08: From Machhermo trek to Gokyo Lake (4,730 m/15,514 Ft & 5 hours trek)

We follow little trail along with Ngozumpa glacier, the largest Himalayan glacier begins from Mount Cho Oyu. Today trek route is completely gradual up on terminal of glacier then trek aside of First Lake (Longpongo), Second Lake (Raboche Tsho) and then finally arrive at Gokyo Lake. The enjoyable trek offers spectacular view of black hill with together white marked trail which leading on top of the Gokyo-Ri. Then short hike on direction of Renjo La pass for acclimatization.

Day 09: Side Trip to Ngozumpa Ri (5,700 m/18,696 Ft & 7 hours trek)

Best way to spend and explore the valley would be ascend to the Ngozumpa Ri (18,695 Ft) and it set in between 5th and 6th Gokyo Lake. It will be long day hike probably takes 8 hours for up and down. Follow the trail on the Ngozumpa glacier and pass the 4th gokyo lake then 5th gokyo lake. End of 5th gokyo lake small trail ascend up on the paved sloppy hill with admiring exceptional view of largest Himalayan glacier, three Gokyo Lake (3rd, 4th & 5th) and trans-Himalayas likely Cho Oyu. We will guarantee gives close remarkable view of Mount Cho Oyu, Everest and numerous peak. As you each summit of the vantage point, it offers massive view of entire Ngozumpa glacier including whole Gokyo Lake. Last section of trail is mostly strenuous where need to walk rock to rock.

Day 10: Ascend to Gokyo Ri then trek to Dragnak (4,810 m/15,776 Ft & 6 hours trek)

Early morning 2 hours strenuous trek up to Gokyo Ri and get spectacular Himalayan view including Mount Makalu, Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse and number of trekking peaks including turquoise Gokyo lake. Then descend to guesthouse and after breakfast journey onward onto the Ngozumpa glacier to Dragnak, base camp of Cho La Pass. While trek over the mountain glacier, we feel vibrate of movement and even find rocking rolling down from hill, do not forget to step on guide footprint. Should have relax and comfort sleep and well prepare for next day which will be quite tough.

Day 11: From Thagnak trek to Zhong-la (4,820 m/15,800 Ft & 8 hours trek) via Cho La Pass (5,420 m/17,777 Ft)

Today will be longest trek day and trek over the technical Cho La Pass (17,777 Ft), it probably takes approximately 8 hours trek from Dragnak to Zhongla. We have quite long ascend climbing on wreckage, crumble and scree even rocky climbing as well. From here can see pinnacle of Mount Lhotse, Lobuche peak. The descend is quite tricky on walking on glacier, rolling stone and high step on boulder. This territory is strictly prohibited trek alone without guide because of the boulder rock, ice and glacier. While descending to Zhong-La get great mountain vista likely Mount Ama Dablam, Barutnse, Lhotse, Taboche, Cholatse and Nuptse. Dzong-La set on bottom of towering Mount Tobuche.

Day 12: From Zhong La trek to Gorakshep (5,180 m/16,990 Ft & 6 hours trek)

From Dzong-La to Lobuche trail is very easy on pasture with catching amazing Mountain View and Perich valley. Once trail come cross the classical Everest base camp route, the route became dramatically busier than Gokyo valley area. It takes about 3 hours trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep, the trail is along the moraine of Khumbu glacier. You will have enjoyable walk with viewing surrounding Himalayas and EBC onward to Gorakshep.

Day 13: Trip to Kalapatthar(5,650 m/18,532 Ft) and EBC (5,364 m/17,563 Ft & 6 hours trek)

The strenuous Kalapathhar trail is well furnished and will takes 2:30 hours from Gorakshep. The exceptional view of striking Himalayas and Everest base camp is highlight of the Kalapatthar. The last 20 minute trail is steep-up on rock to rock until reach to the crest of the black stone. From the pinnacle enjoy to see arresting Mountain View including nearest vision of Mount Everest South Col, Nuptse, Lo La and several other peaks. After spending some time at Kalapatthar, at bottom of mount Pumari then return to guesthouse. Once got guesthouse first have breakfast then make a way to Everest base camp with carrying sufficient battery on electronic device for photos and water for up and down way with Choco bar. The pebble path is consider as moderate but feel less breath. It is fairly moderate climb in dry/cold wind onto the moraine of large Khumbu Glacier. The Everest base camp set on next to Khumbu Ice-fall at height of 5,370 m. The glacier have movement in monsoon that make the path more pebble and unstable in post monsoon.

Day 14: From Garakshep trek to Lobuche High Camp (5,400 m/17,712 Ft & 5 hours Trek)

We leave from Gorak shep, Half of the trail to Lobuche base camp is flatten trail on pasture then ascend uphill in rocky, and glacier. The wilderness trail offers exceptional view of towering Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pumari, Nuptse and Mt. Everest as well. Your guide set the camp first then after hot lunch pre-training of climbing. The guide will teach how to use the climbing gear in next day while continued to the summit of the Lobuche peak likely using the rope for ascending and descending, ice axe, climbing boots, crampons, harness and ascender. I believed your confident will be boost-up after short training.

Day 15: Lobuche High Camp to Summit (6,119 m/20,070 Ft & 9 hours) then back to High Camp

Basically the trip begins an early morning in between midnight to 2 am, the hot breakfast will be ready before your departing. Another important point have to made summit before noon and have to turn down before the badly wind start. The route from high camp is on rock, glacier and ice, the guide will fix all the necessary gears depends on the conditions. Once got to summit 360 degree panoramic view will see and most of spectacular the mountain will looks below than you. After spending some time at summit back to high camp, if time allow trek descend to Dukla village or if feel tired spend one more night at high camp. It takes 2 more hours get down to Thuk-La from High camp.

Lobuche peak is classified as PD+ on the alpine grading system, number of adventure climber test their dare and physical ability in spring and autumn. Any good stamina hiker/trekkers can climb Lobuje peak with assist by local Sherpa guide. Mountain/trekking guide are educated, experienced and knowledge about the culture, history and regions of Nepal. You will not be responsible to carry your luggage from Lukla-Namche–Gokyo-Cho La-Everest base camp-Lobuche Peak-Tengboche-Lukla your porters will carry load between 25kg (sharing between two trekker's). You will be responsible to carry your day pack with the essential and personal things such as water, Camera, wind and waterproof jacket, sun lotion extra camera batteries.
Of course you have to be fit to climb Lobuche peak with Cho La pass Everest Base Camp trek. Regarding to pre-training for Gokyo Everest base cam trek and lobuche peak climbing. You can do strap a pack on your back and go hiking as long as you can with your trekking boot. By doing so your feet and joints will become habituated to the constant walking you will face on the trek. Also be sure to hit the gym and run at least a month. Then if possible do rock climbing as well. No, there is ATM at Lukla but it is not reliable. If you carry any currency with you either $/€/¥/£ travel cheque, it will be exchange but less value than commercial city like Kathmandu. If you prefer to carry cards with you, there is swap machine along the trail but 5% charge will be applicant on top of the total amount.
